DJ Mannie Fresh, Tank and the Bangas and Sweet Crude among lineup for Fried Chicken Festival, September 25 at Lafayette Square

Written by  Spears Group
The Fried Chicken Festival (FCF) presented by Raising Cane’s announced the much-anticipated FCF entertainment lineup, which includes: Sweet Crude, John Boutte, Tank and the Bangas, the Brass-A-Holics and DJ Mannie Fresh. FCF is set to take place on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 11am - 8pm at Lafayette Square located in the Central Business District of New Orleans.

“Each of our entertainers infuses their own unique twist on the traditional sounds of New Orleans,” said Cleveland Spears, III, FCF organizer and President/CEO of the Spears Group. “Festival goers will enjoy great food and a dynamic lineup of live entertainment.”
The Indie-Rock Louisianais of Sweet Crude make progressive music that embraces the region’s French tradition. Jazz singer John Boutte was voted OffBeat Magazine’s Best Male Vocalist more than eight times. Tank and the Bangas have amassed a large local following by combining Soul, Funk, Jazz, Folk, Spoken Word and more into their performances. The Brass-A-Holics blends a heavy dose of go-go funk to the New Orleans brass sound. Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated producer and entertainer DJ Mannie Fresh will close out the FCF stage.

FCF is a free outdoor festival that brings food, music, family and festivities together in celebration of the classic Southern dish. The festival will include events such as the Fried Chicken Tenders Eating Contest and the Best Fried Chicken Contest, which will be judged by local and national food writers, bloggers and critics. Also, the event will feature a 10-foot ONE LOVE wall where festival attendees will be encouraged to share a message of love and encouragement as well as what they love about fried chicken and the festival.

The Fried Chicken Festival presented by Raising Cane’s is sponsored by First NBC Bank, NOLA Brewery, New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network, New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation, AT&T, and Walker Motor Corporation.
