Last week, we told you about the wonderful lunch we had at the Palace Café on Canal St. as part of their annual Temperature Lunch in the summer…a two-course lunch priced at the previous day’s high temperature.
 
Well, their sister restaurant, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse on Iberville in the Quarter, has gotten in the action too with their Heat Index Dinner! Like the Temperature Lunch, the price of the Heat Index Dinner is determined by the previous day’s high temperature. Offered Sunday through Thursday from 5:30pm-7:00pm, the Heat Index Dinner features a nightly special of Dickie Brennans' most popular entrées.

Last Wednesday, we moseyed on down to Dickie Brennan’s for their famous BBQ shrimp priced at…$8.95! Yes, $8.95 for a dish that is regular $19! We topped it off with $5 cocktails and $5 bananas foster bread pudding. What a steal at one of New Orleans’ finest restaurants!
 
Of course, not only was the food amazing, but the service was impeccable…fine dining at its best! Be sure to stop by Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse for their Heat Index Lunch before the summer is over!
